Exhibition layout for ‘Coordinates’, a related event to the TOKYO ATLAS International Art Exhibition, which is taking place on the first floor of WHAT museum. As this is a group exhibition, each artist has been allocated their own area. Partition walls are installed where necessary and display units are designed to each artist’s specifications. The partition walls are designed to blend in with the existing walls as much as possible, while the display units are unobtrusive yet shared subtle similarities; they are positioned to span the boundaries between the artists’ areas.

The newly installed partition walls blended in with the existing walls so well that even the column, which is originally part of the exhibition space, began to function as if they were part of the new partition walls. This phenomenon is alluded to in the venue map, which I happened to design.
